Sam is hard to classify, a freelance copywriter with degrees in visual art and philosophy - he teaches philosophy courses at CAE - and is Sascha Says' principal tee creator. So, yes, a Pisces. He brings to Sascha Says a barely-checked addiction to tees.

"Problem was, I was looking for tees that feed my head," Sam says. "You can be rightfully proud of being clever. Intelligence is a bit sexy. In my designs, I try create what in Japanese poetics is called kurumi, lightness-of-touch. An image or phrase that makes you grin, then a minute later look again and think. Flexibility and longevity combined with funny."

Likes shirts that stand the test of time, that grow with you. Peppermint tea. Crystallised ginger. Also, 80s music.

Dislikes paperwork, the necessity of sleep, buttons.

In my spare time I am up early cycling, reading for my PhD, shopping for tees online, and reading slim, difficult European novels.

Words I live by Somebody once said, We are at our best as poets and philosophers when confined to small spaces. I like playing with a form within its boundaries.

Tee most likely to be seen in : Fuel. It wasn't my idea, but it's like this tee looks inside my heart and sees the real me. Without coffee, I'm powerless.

Natasha says, "Most of us pull on a tee knowing it is the one thing we'll be wearing all day - or all night out. Tees are everywhere and they deserve great, thoughtful, inventive, funny design. Consider how very specific our tee-wearing behaviour is. We shop for tees that match our many different moods and different outfits. With this label, we want to produce tees that make clear, vibrant, different statements. Or at least start a conversation."

Tee I'm most likely to be seen in : Moreish. It has the feel of an instant classic, but it's just so comfy. Comfy fit, comfy colour, comfy idea: love at first sight.
